Amanda & Daniel's Engagement at Friendship Gardens

A Picturesque Location for Engagement Photos

Friendship Gardens in Plainfield, IN is a stunning 13-acre garden park that offers a perfect backdrop for engagement photos. The park features a stone waterfall, beautiful landscaping, and a Veterans' Memorial, making it an ideal location for capturing memorable moments. The centerpiece of the park is the three-room Gazebo Pavilion, often used for weddings and gatherings, which adds a touch of elegance to any photo shoot. Additionally, the historic iron truss bridge that spans White Lick Creek provides a unique and charming element to the photos.

A Love Story in the Making

Amanda and Daniel are a wonderful couple whose love for each other is evident in every interaction. Although they are quiet by nature, their bond is strong and deep. As we walked around Friendship Gardens, it was clear from the way they spoke and cared for each other that their love runs deep. I was captured by the way they spoke each other’s names, passed their dogs off to one another, and helped each other switch between positions.

One of the joys of engagement photography is capturing both candid and posed moments. Amanda and Daniel were naturals in front of the camera. Their quiet yet profound love was evident in every shot, from the gentle way they held hands to the loving glances they exchanged.

Including Pets in Engagement Photos

Amanda and Daniel share a special love for their dogs, and it was important to them to include their furry friends in their engagement photos. While they decided not to have the dogs at their wedding to avoid overwhelming them, they wanted them to be part of their engagement adventure. This decision added a personal and heartwarming touch to their photos.

Pets bring a unique element to engagement photos, showcasing the couple's lifestyle and love beyond just their relationship. Whether sitting obediently by their side or playfully running around, the dogs added a layer of authenticity and warmth to the photos. Amanda and Daniel’s dogs added a playful and affectionate vibe to the shoot, making the session even more memorable. Trying to get Josie and Ruby to get in just the right position or walk the line we wanted for them added a layer of fun and lifted the mood of the entire photoshoot.

A Walk Around the Park

The engagement shoot began with a leisurely walk around Friendship Gardens. The park’s serene atmosphere and beautiful scenery provided a perfect backdrop for capturing candid and posed moments. Amanda and Daniel’s natural interactions and the playful energy of their dogs made the shoot flow smoothly.

We stopped at several picturesque spots, including the stone waterfall, the Veterans' Memorial, a shaded spots nearby a line of trees, and one of several gazebos. Each location offered unique opportunities to convey the spirit of Amanda and Daniel’s relationship.
